From 22- 27 February Minister Anna Maria Anders was on a business trip in Italy. She began her stay in Milan where she visited the headquarters of Leonardo Helicopters - a company that designs, manufactures, develops and supports a wide range of modern helicopters. Since 2010 the Polish manufacturer of PZL helicopters - Świdnik has been affiliated with Leonardo Helicopters.
Unveiling of the exhibition "Camp Kosciuszko in Niagara-on-the-Lake 1917-1919 – Canada’s Role in the Rebirth of Poland"
On January 22nd took place an official unveiling of the exhibition "Camp Kosciuszko in Niagara-on-the-Lake 1917-1919 – Canada’s Role in the Rebirth of Poland" on the fence of the Canadian Embassy in Warsaw. The exhibition was opened by the recently appointed Ambassador of Canada to Warsaw, J.E. Leslie Scanlon.
From 3-4 December Minister Anna Maria Andres was on a business trip in Monte Cassino where she met with the city mayor, Carlo Maria d'Alessandro. During the meeting Minister Anders spoke about the upcoming 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Monte Cassino which will take place in May 2019. She also met with the Abbot of the Monastery of Monte Cassino, J.E. Donat Oglian.
Minister Anders also visited and laid flowers on her parents' grave on the occasion of the anniversary of her mother's death.
Upon the invitation of the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in New York and the Polish National Foundation, Minister Anna Maria Anders took part in a Gala organized in the Polish consulate on the occasion of the centenary of Polish women's full electoral rights. During the Gala Rita Cosby, a special correspondent at CBS, was named "Polish - American Women of the Year 2018" for her professional achievements and commitment to building strong Polish-American relations.
Minister Anna Maria Anders was a guest at the 10th Film Festival entitled "The Cursed" at the end of September this year. This year's Jubilee Edition of the Festival was under the patronage of President Andrzej Duda.
From 21-26 September, Minister Anna Maria Anders was on a business trip in the United States.
She began her stay with a visit to Cleveland, Ohio, where she took part in the opening of the exhibition "Anders Army - The Trail of Hope". The ceremony which took place at the Polish-American Cultural Center was attended by Veterans of the Anders Army, numerous representatives of the Polish community and local authorities.
74 years ago - at the beginning of September 1944 - the 1st Armoured Division of General Stanisław Maczek crossed the Franco-Belgian border in victorious pursuit of the fiercely defending German troops. On the Anniversary of this historic event, Minister Anna Maria Anders, accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Brussels, J.E. Artur Orzechowski, took part in ceremonies at the war cemetery in Maldegem, where Polish soldiers from the 1st Armoured Division are buried.
"Through Siberia to Independence - XVIII International March for the Remembrance of the Siberian Descendants
Białystok. As in previous years, Minister Anna Maria Anders took part in the 18th International March in Memory of Siberian Exiles, which aims to preserve the memory of the tragic fate of Polish citizens deported to the Soviet Union. This year's March, connected with the 100th Anniversary of Poland's regaining independence, was held under the slogan "Through Siberia to Independence". The March was attended by nearly 150 000 people, including young people studying in schools named after the Siberians.

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Poland His Excellency Shafqat Ali Khan paid a courtesy visit to Minister Anna Maria Anders.
Issues of development and deepening cooperation between Poland and Pakistan and the situation in the region and on the international arena were discussed during the meeting
His Excellency also mentioned Minister Anders’s speech at this year's conference in Hudson Instutute, which made a great impression on him.
In Washington National Cathedral Minister Anna Maria Anders, on behalf of the Prime Minister of Poland, participated in the official part of the funeral ceremonies of the Republican Senator John McCain.
At 9 a.m. a traditional procession with relics of St. Stanislaw set off from Wawel Cathedral. Participants in the day’s events included the President of Poland Andrzej Duda, Minister Anna Maria Anders, Minister Andrzej Adamczyk, Małgorzata Wassermann MP and on behalf of the Chancellery of the Poland Krzysztof Szczerski and Wojciech Kolarski. Cardinal Giuseppe Versaldi, Prefect of the Congregation for Catholic Education, presided over the Mass.
Commemoration of the 83rd Anniversary of the death of Marshal Józef Piłsudski, the 48th Anniversary of the death of General Władysław Anders and the 74th Anniversary of the Battle of Monte Cassino.
The ceremonies, which began with Holy Mass at Field Cathedral of the Polish Army, were also attended by the Deputy Speaker of the Senate Maria Koc, Minister Jan Józef Kasprzyk, the organizer of the ceremonies and the Head of the Office for War Veterans and Victims of Oppression, Minister Zofia Romaszewska, an advisor to the President of Poland and representatives of the Diplomatic Corps.
After Holy Mass the ceremonies continued at the Marshal Józef Piłsudski Square where wreaths were laid at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and at the Marshal’s monument.
A group of students from the prestigious Harvard Business School visited Minister Anna Maria Anders. The young entrepreneurs and future business leaders, who came from all over the world, were interested in the Minister’s tasks and duties both as a Senator of the Republic of Poland and as a Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland. The discussion also focused on her participation in this year’s AIPAC conference in DC and on her work in the “Women Political Leaders” organization.
