On Monday 2 October 2017 the daughter of General Wladyslaw Anders - Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland and Plenipotentiary of the Prime Minister for International Dialogue, Senator Anna Maria Anders opened the exhibition "The Anders Army - Trail of Hope" in the US Congress in Washington, D.C.

On Monday 2 October 2017 the daughter of General Wladyslaw Anders - Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland and Plenipotentiary of the Prime Minister for International Dialogue, Senator Anna Maria Anders opened the exhibition "The Anders Army - Trail of Hope" in the US Congress in Washington, D.C. Over 200 people attended the ceremony, among whom were Adam Bielan, the Deputy Speaker of the Senate of the Republic of Poland and US Representatives Marcy Kaptur and Tim Murphy. Also was present the American general of Polish origin Edward L. Rowny.

In her address at the opening of exhibition Minister Anna Maria Anders reminded everyone that "her father General Wladyslaw Anders dreamed of a free Poland, but did not live to see it.

Imagine how proud I am to be able to travel around the world and represent Poland today. One of my missions during these trips is to unite the Polish diaspora all over the world”. She greeted the veterans of the exhibition, especially Colonel Romuald Lipinski, a soldier of the Anders Army, who fought at the Battle of Monte Cassino. Recalling General Wadyslaw Anders and the 2nd Corps during his speech Colonel Lipinski said "the 2nd Corps was special. Unique. We were a motley crew of different people, but we were all united in our fight for freedom and return to Poland. That was our dream and the most important goal. Anders was our father, our saviour, friend and soldier. We would follow him to the end of the world”.
The exhibition "The Anders Army - Trail of Hope" was inaugurated in 2016 in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland on the 75th anniversary of the signing of the Sikorski-Majski agreement and the formation the Anders Army in the USSR. The exhibition, which is under the honorary patronage of the Prime Minister of Poland, reminds us of and presents events that portray Polish hopes for freedom and the unique route of this "Army of Hope" on its way to free Poland.
